From this edition, 36 teams will participate in a league phase of the Champions League. In this stage, all teams will face each other in eight different matches, playing half as hosts and the other half as visitors. At the end of this phase, a general table will be created where the top eight teams will qualify directly for the round of 16, while the ninth to twenty-fourth places will compete in a play-off phase to determine the last eight qualifiers.

Teams placed 25th or lower will be eliminated and will not be able to access the Europa League as in previous editions. Real Madrid, the current champion, will face Brest in the last match of the league phase of the Champions League. The match will take place at the Stade Francis-Le Blé stadium and will be broadcast by Fox Sports and Disney+ starting at 5 PM in Argentina.

Real Madrid has not had its best performance in this phase, but a victory in this match could allow it to qualify directly for the round of 16. The possible lineups for the match are: - Brest: Bizot; Lala, Chardonnet, Ndiaye, Lage; Fernandes, Magnetti; Balde, Camara, Doumbia; Ajorque. - Real Madrid: Courtois; Lucas Vázquez, Asencio, Rüdiger, Mendy; Valverde, Modric, Ceballos, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappé.

The match can be followed in Argentina through Fox Sports, Disney+, Flow, Directv Go, and Telecentro Play. Regarding the new format of the Champions League for this edition, UEFA has made some changes, leaving behind the 32 teams that were divided into eight groups of four.
