In his view, this strategy could resonate within French society if adapted to the local political context. In a recent article published on a Belgian news site where he serves as editor-in-chief, Louis Sarkozy indicated that certain social groups in France could represent an untapped electoral opportunity for the right. During this visit, he also had the chance to revisit childhood memories when he viewed the private apartments in the same building where he used to live when his father previously served as Minister of the Interior. Louis Sarkozy believes that the approach taken by Darmanin on immigration—an approach that is firm but less harsh than the rhetoric of some far-right figures—might be the most suitable path for the traditional right to return to power. The 27-year-old young man has now clarified that Trump's electoral strategy, which relies on direct and sharp rhetoric on immigration issues alongside a bold communication style, could also be applicable in France. Louis sees Trump's electoral experience as a noteworthy model, particularly in its ability to attract segments of voters who traditionally leaned towards the Democratic Party in the US, such as some voters of African or Latino origin, as well as groups of women. He contrasts this vision with the more escalatory strategy followed by far-right leader Jordan Bardella. Louis Sarkozy has recently gained an increasing media reputation thanks to his frequent appearances in political programs and television debates, although some of these outings have been marked by awkward or controversial moments. His presence in public life was not entirely new, as he had been in the spotlight from a very young age.
