Kazakh tennis player Alexander Bublik will face his Ukrainian counterpart Vitaliy Sachko in a bid to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 in Metz, one of the last tournaments of the season. Bublik, who is experiencing the best moment of his career, currently holds the ATP world No. 13 ranking and will make his second-round debut as the third seed at this tournament. The Kazakh, who has taken tennis more seriously this year compared to previous seasons, will finish 2025 in the top 10 if he reaches the final in France, as he would displace Britain's Jack Draper. Bublik has won four ATP titles so far this year.
One of them (Halle) was a 500-level tournament, while the other three (Gstaad, Kitzbühel, and Hangzhou) were 250-level. The winner of the match between Bublik and Sachko will face Frenchman Clement Tabur in the quarterfinals, who earlier defeated Belgian Alexander Blockx in a tough match that lasted nearly three hours.
