At the ceremony of the 40th Victoires de la Musique awards in France, the winners in various nominations were announced. One of the most prestigious was the award for "Best Concert of the Year," which was achieved by four performers, organized during the Summer Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
The visual effects director Tom Jules, who performed at the ceremony, noted that the celebration of the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris was a "victory of common significance." The Olympic season in Paris took place from July to September 2024 and was opened by the performance of the metal band Gojira featuring vocalist Marine Vueti, awarded Grammy for the performance at this event, and R&B artist Aïda Nakamaura.
Also awarded was singer Zahо de Sagazand, who participated in the closing concert of the Olympic Games, and the rapper from Congo, Jayms, was recognized as the best artist. After the victory of Gazou in 2024 (true, alongside Vianey), the Victoires honored another rapper in this category, which indicates a new opening for the award for this musical genre, despite the prevailing accent on pop music.
Best vocalist was recognized Zahо de Sagazand, who already significantly won awards at previous ceremonies, confirming her place as a key figure in the French musical scene with notoriety that transcends the borders of the country.
