Last week in Paris, the Japanese showcased their collections. Designer Issie Miyake stood out with bright colors, while Yujji Yamamoto remained true to his favorite color - black. Satoshi Kondo presented a show for the brand 'Issy Miyake', in which he delved into the selected themes of the Japanese brand: pleats, layering of clothing, explorations of materials, for this time he used fabric called 'banning'.
The designer from Japan, who took over the creative direction of the fashion house after the death of the brand's founder in 2022, explained: 'The fabric primarily consists of shirting and alpaca, but is also blended with synthetic material, subjected to shrinkage, flattened, and made firm under heat, which is why it is called 'banning'.
Yamamoto showcased his collection in black print, which he consistently uses, adding accents of gray, white, and amethyst colors.
