A lock of hair from French singer Claude François was sold at an auction held the day before yesterday in Paris for 780 euros (about 900 dollars), including fees. Two combs that belonged to French rock singer Johnny Hallyday were sold for the same amount. The items were put up for sale at an auction dedicated to French and world music, organized by the auction house «Cote Piaget». The auction house clarified that the lock of hair from Claude François was sold to an anonymous buyer, noting that it «was obtained from a brush that his hairdresser used exclusively» in February 1976, two years before his accidental death from an electric shock. As for the two combs that Johnny Hallyday used on stage, the singer «threw them during his concerts at the Palais des Sports in Paris» in October 1976, and some strands of the artist's hair, who died in December 2017, remained stuck in them. The combs were sold for a price higher than their estimated value, which ranged from about 290 to 345 dollars.
