The Third International Philosophy Conference «Belief, Science, and Rationality», organized by Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and Social Sciences in cooperation with the French Institute of Islamic Studies, has concluded. The conference was held from December 15 to 17 at the Sorbonne University in Paris, with the participation of an elite group of philosophers, thinkers, academics, and researchers.

The conference was opened by a speech from the Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Space of the French Republic, delivered on his behalf by the President of the French Institute of Islamic Studies, Professor Dr. Claudio Goldirizi. He welcomed the fruitful cooperation between educational institutions in the UAE and France, which resulted in this joint scientific conference, and called for intensifying efforts to engage more broadly and continuously with the contemporary issues that occupy the modern human mind.

This was followed by a speech from the Chairman of the UAE Fatwa Council and the Supreme Scientific Council of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and Social Sciences, the eminent scholar Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayh, who confirmed that this conference aims to establish a supportive and integrative philosophy that restores reason to its rightful place, scripture to its authority, and humanity to its spiritual and value-based balance in a changing world.

In turn, the Director of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, in his inaugural lecture at the conference, emphasized that the high academic level of this intellectual gathering evokes the intellectual meetings held in Paris, the city of light, where different philosophical paths converged to enhance the civilizational dialogue.
