The Meru hearing of the release of the activist, who is accused of participating in the demonstrations in Paris, has been postponed until June 19. This news became known after the meeting of the appellate court in France.
The lawyer of the arrested activist spoke about his release. According to him, his client should be released due to the lack of evidence, as well as the risk of contracting the coronavirus in prison. In turn, the prosecutor stated that all evidence against the activist is completely convincing and, in his opinion, he should remain under custody.
"We are confident that our arguments are compelling, and we hope for the support of the court. Our client should be released until the end of the investigation," the lawyer emphasized. The court decided to postpone the session and continue the consideration of the case in a month.
