The investigation, which is being conducted by the National Gendarmerie's General Directorate (DGGN), follows two complaints filed on January 12, 2025, and July 9, 2025, respectively. 'Summonses have been sent for voluntary hearings on April 20, 2026, in Paris, to Mr. Elon Musk and Ms. Linda Yaccarino,' the Paris prosecutor's office stated in the document. The investigation, which began in early 2025, aims to determine the company's liability for algorithmic manipulation that affects democratic debate, as well as its alleged complicity in serious crimes, including the dissemination of child pornography and the spread of denialist content through its artificial intelligence, Grok. Meanwhile, international media outlets highlight that the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office has confirmed that the entry and search of X's national headquarters aims to gather evidence about the social network's internal operations. Additionally, Musk and Linda Yaccarino have been summoned for a voluntary hearing on April 20, 2026.
