The recognized Franco-Mexican architect Bernardo Gómez Pimienta, notable in the world of architecture since the 1980s and director of the School of Architecture at Anáhuac University Mexico, was a victim of a robbery in his apartment in Paris yesterday afternoon. It is estimated that the thief took around 20,000 euros during the assault, which took place in the property located in one of the central districts of the city while the residents were away.
Bernardo Gómez Pimienta, whose LinkedIn profile shows him as an emeritus academic of the National Academy of Architecture and a member of the National System of Creators of CONACULTA, has already filed a complaint with the police authorities in Paris. In 2007, he was honored as a Knight of the Legion of Honor of the French Republic, and two years later named Honorary Fellow of both the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
Parisian authorities are currently investigating the case of the robbery of this renowned architect, who has left a significant mark in the architectural field throughout his career.
