Macron and Starmer Commemorate Historical Peace Agreements

The leaders of France and the United Kingdom celebrated the 120th anniversary of the 1904 Agreement, signed between the two countries to resolve colonial conflicts. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, held talks at the Élysée Palace.

In Paris, they marked the 106th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice, which ended World War I on the Élysées fields. In the context of Ukraine, the French presidency reiterated their confirmation to 'support a stable Kyiv for a long time, as long as this is necessary,' while questions arise about the possible continuation of military aid from the United States with the return of Donald Trump.
