Step forward, the French telecommunications giant Orange announced profit growth in the third quarter, slightly exceeding market expectations due to strong indicators in Africa and the Middle East.
The company reported that its net profit in the third quarter rose by 4.4% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 1.03 billion euros. These figures notably exceeded analysts' expectations.
The company’s CEO expressed delight at the results, noting that Orange's strategy for expansion in Africa and the Middle East is bearing fruit. In this region, the operator successfully increased sales volume and improved service for clients.
However, the situation in Europe remains complicated due to the pandemic, negatively impacting profits from roaming and sales of mobile devices. Orange also reported that overall, its revenue in the third quarter grew by 0.4%, reaching 10.94 billion euros.
The company plans to continue investing in the network and digital technologies, aiming to strengthen its position in the telecommunications market.
