The leader of the French government, Jean Castex, expressed during the first vote on the denial in parliament, initiated by the far-left opposition. This came after the right-wing party National Rally abstained from participating in the vote.
"I hope that the attention of the French is focused on their own problems," Castex stated in a sharp criticism of the opposition.
After this vote, which concluded with 281 against and 223 for, the government confirmed its position and will continue its work in the office of the Prime Minister.
