Macron's New Policies Under the Migrant

Last week, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian stated in an interview on "France Inter" regarding President Emmanuel Macron's position on fisheries issues between Paris and London. Le Drian emphasized that France is leading a "honest dialogue" with its British partners on the matter of fish quotas after Brexit.

"There are contentious issues, but we talk about this with each other. Our goal is to find compromises," Le Drian explained. He also added that France hopes to resolve these contentious issues in the coming weeks.

Nonetheless, the minister referred to the established agreements reached between London and Brussels during the Brexit negotiations, including agreements on fishing quotas and regional development.
