
The President of France Emmanuel Macron and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak expressed their concern regarding the escalating tensions in Ukraine. The leaders of the two countries emphasized the need to find a diplomatic solution to prevent a potential military conflict.
Macron noted that there is currently a risk of escalations returning to the region, so it is important to take all measures to stabilize the situation through peaceful means. Sunak also supported the idea of seeking a diplomatic compromise and called for cooperation between the countries of the European Union.
"We call on all parties to show moderation and responsibility in order to avoid escalating the conflict, which could have unpredictable consequences for the entire region," - emphasized the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Representatives of France and the United Kingdom also underscored the importance of supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as the undeniable right of the Kyiv authorities to determine their own policy without external pressures.
