
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, visited the White House on Monday, where he met with the President of the United States, Joe Biden. The two leaders discussed a number of important issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, tensions with China, and the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear energy program.
During his visit, Macron also stated that France supports the U.S. return to the nuclear agreement with Iran and hopes for American involvement in de-escalating the conflict with Teheran. Additionally, the presidents of France and the U.S. expressed intentions to jointly combat climate change and other global challenges.
While discussing the Afghan situation, Macron noted that France and the United States would continue their cooperation and provide support to the Afghan people, irrespective of the absence of a military presence in the country.
