The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated on Monday that a "ceasefire" in Ukraine could be possible "in the coming weeks." In an interview with French radio, Macron noted that he is working with other leaders of Germany, Ukraine, and Russia to explore a possible resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
"We are working with the presidents (of France, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Russia's Vladimir Putin)," noted Macron. "I hope that next week we can hold talks in the Normandy format to try to achieve a ceasefire."
The President of France emphasized that the issue of Ukraine requires multiple solutions: "This is a question of security, a humanitarian question, and, above all, this is political perspectives."
