On Thursday, the French Minister of Defense Sébastien Lecornu announced that Paris is leading negotiations with Kyiv on obtaining Ukrainian mineral resources, primarily for military purposes.
Lecornu noted: "We are exploring cooperation issues with the Ukrainian side in the field of obtaining rare earth elements and other minerals that could be beneficial for our defense."
Additionally, he emphasized that France supports Ukraine's sovereignty and expressed confidence that this initiative will be tied as a supplementary sign of support from Paris.
