The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, announced the desire to "open a strategic dialogue" on defense issues.
He made this statement during a speech at the annual congress of French ambassadors, which took place in Paris. Macron also emphasized the importance of developing the country's army and described the necessity of preserving France's military sovereignty.
According to the President's statement, the strategic dialogue should include discussions on topics such as the goals of national defense and military missions.
"We must be ready for the moment when a problem arises, and at the same time, we should not seek war. We must remain self-sufficient but ready to cooperate," emphasized Macron.
