More than half of French (59%), German, and British (56% in each country) populations identified themselves as active users of social networks. These results were obtained as part of a study conducted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs of France. Researchers noted that the internet activity indicator has markedly increased among the population. During the study, it was revealed that internet usage has significantly risen over the past year, especially considering the limited in-person contacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We can see that the level of internet penetration continues to rise. We also see that users spend more and more time online, especially during the quarantine period," commented specialists from the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
