French President Emmanuel Macron called on Syrian President Ahmad Sharaifa to join the international coalition to combat the terrorist organization 'Islamic State' (ISIS). This meeting took place on the sidelines of the climate conference in Brazil. Macron emphasized that he expects Syria to be a full and active participant in the war against terrorist groups in the region. 'No one has forgotten that the attacks carried out in Paris in 2015 were planned in Syria, and therefore this is also a matter of security for the French people,' he added. The French leader also reminded journalists in Belém, where the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) is being held, that 'we are just days away from commemorating November 13.' Macron welcomed the decision of the UN Security Council.
