Paris — Reuters. France on Thursday responded to what it described as baseless Russian accusations that Ukraine is seeking to obtain nuclear weapons or a 'dirty bomb' with their help or Britain's help, and described those accusations as the latest example of Russian disinformation. Olivia Benishu, head of communications at the French Ministry of Defense, told journalists on Thursday: 'This statement, which has no basis in fact and was issued by Russian intelligence services'. Russian foreign intelligence said in a statement published on the fourth anniversary of the war that Britain and France believe Ukraine will be able to secure more favorable terms if Kyiv has access to 'nuclear weapons, or at least so-called dirty bombs'.
