
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, expressed his condemnation of the attack that took place on Monday evening in Paris, which resulted in the death of an individual in the street. During the incident, which occurred in the 7th arrondissement, an unknown assailant attacked passersby with a knife, injuring several people, including a police officer. The assailant was quickly apprehended by law enforcement agencies.
The French leader called for national unity in response to this act of violence and stressed that the French would not succumb to the fear of terrorism. Macron also expressed his support for those affected by the attack and expressed gratitude to the police for their swift apprehension of the perpetrator.
At the moment the attack occurred, the streets were dark after sunset. Witnesses claim that the attacker was dressed in military-style clothing and used a knife. All those injured as a result of the incident are currently in the hospital and receiving necessary medical assistance.
According to eyewitnesses, law enforcement officers were present at the scene of the incident and promptly detained the attacker, as well as medical assistance and police reinforcement were directed to the place of the incident.
