The reason for this decision was the fighting and clashes that occurred during the match of the European Championship between Russia and England at the stadium.
Despite the possible protests and appeals from fans, the authorities of France adopted strict safety measures to avoid potential incidents during the game. Feyenoord representatives were recommended not to travel to the match and to concentrate on communication with other club partners.
