AS Monaco Fan Sets World Record for Shirt Collection

A fan of the French football club AS Monaco has achieved a world record for owning the largest collection of original shirts from a single football club. Julien Bouron recently revealed his incredible collection of Monaco shirts. The collection includes 1,146 shirts, including those worn by Kylian Mbappé, Thierry Henry, Manuel Amoros, Radamel Falcao, David Trezeguet, and Delio Onís, the club's all-time top scorer. According to Monaco, an official representative attended the exhibition and verified the number of shirts at 1,146, thus surpassing the previous world record held by a Swiss Liverpool fan. Bouron, who is from the French region of Burgundy, stated that his passion for Monaco began 25 years ago when he attended his first match between Monaco and Auxerre. This week, Bouron, in an interview with the club's official website, said: "It was the year Monaco won its seventh French league title. Today, it's a hobby that requires a lot of time. Since then, I haven't stopped following the club." His collection started when former Monaco player Lucas Bernarddi gave him a shirt he had worn in a match during the 2006/2007 season. Bouron said: "From that moment, I became interested in the shirts worn by the players. That day, I fell in love, not with Auxerre, but with Monaco. I am always looking for rare pieces, but I am already very proud of having this entire collection." The oldest shirt in his collection dates back to 1950 and was worn by former Monaco defender François Lodo, who played one international match for the French national team.
