Paris Disneyland Opens New 'Disney Adventure World' Park

This Sunday, Disneyland Paris opened the doors to the largest expansion in its history, a second theme park called 'Disney Adventure World' right next to the original. The main draw of this new park is a world inspired by the 'Frozen' films. At 8 in the morning, an hour before the opening, people of all ages gathered at the entrance to Mickey Mouse's kingdom. Passing through the turnstiles quickly became the starting signal for hundreds of mouse ears, in the form of colorful headbands, to race towards the park. As the doors opened, thousands of people flooded the new central avenue, which connects all the zones of 'Disney Adventure World', heading towards the world of Frozen. In this new world, which accurately emulates the snowy kingdom from the films, the standout attraction is 'Frozen Ever After', a boat ride through some of the saga's most iconic scenes. The statue of Mickey Mouse from 'Fantasia' presides over the entrance to 'Disney Adventure World'. 'The Frozen kingdom is incredible, it's just like the movie: it's as if you're being transported directly into it,' Spanish visitor Patricia Cotrina, from Madrid, told EFE. The park's executive producer for creative development, John Mauro, explained to EFE that 'everything included in the attractions, from the characters to the ride, the special effects, lighting, and audio, has to function in a perfect and very precise way.' 'We have the responsibility that everything new that comes to our parks, whether it's a new attraction, restaurant, show, or hotel, comes to life for our visitors,' he added. The robot of Olaf, the little snowman from the films, has attracted all the attention, recreating the character's movements and reactions with great fidelity. 'I've never seen anything like this... they've really raised the bar with all their animatronic characters,' commented London tourist Elliott Johnson after riding the Frozen attraction. The Olaf robot uses a more sophisticated version of Disney's classic animatronics, powered by Artificial Intelligence to directly answer questions and interact with its environment. This newly expanded park, now called 'Disney Adventure World' (replacing the previous name 'Walt Disney Studios'), also debuts a new nighttime show featuring 480 drones, pyrotechnics, and water fountains: the 'Cascade of Lights'.
