Air France-KLM Announces New Initiatives

The company "Air France-KLM" announced that starting January 31, it will introduce a mandatory requirement for a negative coronavirus test for all passengers flying to France from countries of the European Union. In addition, passengers will be required to fill out a special declaration on the company's website before boarding. Similar requirements also apply to passengers traveling to the Netherlands. General Director of the concern Ben Smith emphasized that these measures will follow regulations recently introduced by France and the Netherlands, requiring a test declaration within 72 hours prior to departure for coronavirus for all passengers arriving from countries not included in the Schengen area.

"We welcome the decision of France and the Netherlands to introduce preliminary testing for all passengers of air transportation. We have also successfully implemented our own tests before flights for travelers heading to France and abroad, and going further, particularly regarding passengers traveling to the Netherlands," - quotes the general director in the company's statement.
