Paris, Nov 15. French authorities have tracked a disinformation campaign orchestrated by the 'Storm 1516' network, believed to be linked to Russia. The operation aimed to falsely implicate President Emmanuel Macron in the case of convicted billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The campaign involved creating a fake website impersonating the French newspaper France Soir, which published an article accusing President Macron. A government source confirmed that these false claims were later amplified on the X platform. The French Agency for the Protection Against Foreign Digital Interference (Vigilance) monitored this operation on Wednesday, the source added.
