
More than ten people were injured tonight, Wednesday, in the southeastern French city of Grenoble due to the explosion of a grenade in a bar. Two of the injured are in critical condition, according to a report citing a police source.
The mayor of Grenoble, Eric Piolle, condemned the act, calling it an "unprecedented act of criminal violence." Following a preliminary investigation, police have ruled out the possibility that it was a terrorist attack, the report added.
The explosion occurred around 8:00 PM local time, generating a scene of chaos and injuries in the bar. In the words of Mayor Piolle: "Our thoughts are with the victims and their families at this difficult time."
